Hope and Resilience Initiative (HRI) was established in 2023 as a nonprofit, non-governmental, national organization with purposes of delivering humanitarian and development assistance, empowering vulnerable communities specially youth, women and people living with disabilities by promoting socio-economic development, peacebuilding, and resilience. To sure that women are fully supported and empowerment, HRI’s Board of Directors is headed by a women to enhance gender equality in decision making and other gender sensitive issues, we focus is on empowering women and youth through humanitarian support, job creation, skills development, entrepreneurship, and community-led peace initiatives. Founded in response to the urgent need for inclusive development and sustainable peace in South Sudan, HRI works in both urban and rural areas to promote local ownership and long-term impact of aid support. Our programming is informed by durable solution strategy at both national and sub-national level, supporting the alignment of humanitarian support with development priorities for inclusive transition from humanitarian support to resilience society and supported high quality education to increase employability, invest in job creation for the women and the youth.
